We have restored a lot of these.....the pumps we get in have usually been rebuilt before and the original impeller has been replace with a smaller unit made for the small block...and they flow a lot less water that when new.
When we restore them we update the bearing and seal to current standards and install the proper size impeller for more flow. The cost to restore a 348-409 pump is $100.00.
